My name is Saif Ali Saif Obaid Bin Abed. I come from a “Sickle Cell Anaemia” family where both my parents, older sister and several close relatives also suffer from SCA. I was diagnosed with SCA since 2014, when I had a fever. I had to stay in a hospital for more than a week and was in terrible pain. I spent a lot of time on morphine drips, oxygen and blood transfusions. However, the situation only got worse, and test results showed that my blood oxygen percentage has dropped.

I was also forced to take painkillers daily (3 tablet of Hydroxyurea per day), and experienced many side effects, including vomiting, diarrhea and dizziness. So, I decided to stop my medication in 2015 and search for an alternative solution.

Finally, I came across Stem Cell Therapy, so my older sister and I started stem cells treatment with Ming Medical and the weekly crisis events stopped.

Previously, I had difficulty walking for more then one hour, I felt tired, had problems breathing and severe dizziness. Following the stem cell treatment, I can walk freely and enjoy several hours of shopping spree with my sister. I know my SCA cannot be permanently cured but I am still pain free 5 years after treatment and able to live a better personal and professional life.
